GEFF is a credit line for green financing within the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development that provides funds for financing energy-efficient technologies in households.
The total amount of the credit line for the Western Balkans is EUR 85 million.
The program is supported by the funds of the European Union, as well as funds from other donors: the Federal Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Austria and the Investment Framework for the Western Balkans, for financing the technical cooperation program within this credit line and implemented in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Energy Community.
You apply for a refund on the GEFF website by submitting an online request through the Verification System. You will need the following documentation: certificate of acceptance, invoice, proof of payment from the bank, credit agreement, as well as information about the account to which you want the refund to be paid.
Yes, you can finance the installation of technologies at more than one project or location, all with one loan.
Yes, you can use the loan to purchase several products of different categories (eg installing new windows and installing a biomass boiler). This is also desirable, because by investing in at least 2 technologies, you will be entitled to a greater incentive, i.e. to 20%.
No, for example, the same windows cannot be changed twice if a loan has already been taken out for that purpose.
Yes, you can apply for more than one loan to finance different purposes in the same location (eg you finance insulation with one loan and window replacement with another).
No, you don't have to be the owner, co-owner or registered at that address. You can take a loan for family members. The only limitation is that the installation of the purchase of the same type of product cannot be credited twice at the same address.
No, this loan cannot finance the thermal insulation of only one apartment within the building. It can only be financed if one or more facades are completely renovated.
Yes, they can. The financing project is combined as one and if several technologies are involved, a higher incentive can be obtained (20% instead of 15% for one technology).
For example, if the wife takes out a loan for insulation and the husband takes out a loan for a heat pump, it will be treated as an investment with 2 technologies and will be entitled to a 20% return, even though the individual loans are related to only one technology.
No, you cannot. The right to a financial incentive from the EBRD, i.e. You can get a refund only if you have not previously received or do not plan to receive an incentive from another institution or a state subsidy. It is not possible to take more incentives for the same project.
Yes, they can. For air conditioners and other products (refrigerators, freezers or combined appliances) that are not in the Technology Selector, you can get a credit, but you will not get a financial incentive or
refund for them.
